Computing in the National Curriculum prepares pupils to participate in a rapidly changing world in which work and other activities are increasingly transformed by access to varied and developing technology.
Pupils at St Joseph’s use Computing to find, explore, analyse, exchange and present information responsibly and creatively. They learn how to employ Computing to enable rapid access to ideas and experiences from a wide range of people, communities and cultures.
Increased capability in the use of Computing promotes initiative and independent learning, with pupils being able to make informed judgements about when and where to use Computing to best effect and to consider its implications for home and school (work), both now and in the future.
The children at St Joseph's follow the
Teach Computing curriculum which is then adapted by the teachers to the needs of the children. Everyone at St Joseph's works very hard to achieve their best in Computing. Please have a look at the curriculum map to see what your children will be learning in their computing lessons.
Our designated computing lead is Mrs Keeping
