We are part of the Plymouth CAST family of schools. We are a Catholic school welcoming children of all faiths to learn and grow with us. The education and wellbeing of our children is at the heart of everything we do. Our Gospel Values of humility, compassion, kindness, justice, forgiveness, integrity, peace and courage are integral to our whole school community. We inspire all our children to do their best, be their best and have respect for themselves, others and the world we live in. Choosing a school for your child is really important for any parent or carer. If you would like to find out more about our school you are welcome to visit us to meet our wonderful staff and pupils. Prayer and Worship

Prayer and worship is a central part of life at St Joseph's. All children attend an act of Worship daily.
On a Monday the children and adults gather as a whole school community to hear the Gospel from the Sunday before.
On a Tuesday, our whole school gather together for Sing and Praise. Within this, we are reminded of the message from the Gospel from the day before and we reflect on our Call to Action (Our Commission for the week).
On a Wednesday, our GIFT Team lead a Gospel Reflection. On Thursdays we have Class Prayer and on Friday we come together for Celebration Assembly to celebrate out talents and achievements.

Every class has a worship space in their classroom and an interactive prayer opportunity. This may be a prayer jar or prayer tree where the children can go and add their own prayers. We also have prayer areas across the school, which our GIFT TEAM look after.

Our GIFT TEAM set up a prayer tree where children from across the school were invited to put a ribbon on and say a quiet prayer.
Daily Prayers

Each Class says our daily prayers throughout the day. We have our Morning Prayer, Lunchtime Prayer and Evening Prayer. Please see examples of these below.

Our Prayer areas also reflect special times in our Liturgical Calendar.
Throughout the year, our school community also gathers to celebrate the main events of the liturgical year through Mass and/or prayer.  These include the Harvest,  Epiphany of the Lord and All Saints.
Our liturgies are engaging and lively, using  a range of songs, signing, prayers, animation, drama, poetry and art to engage children to reflect on the Gospel message. The children lead our whole school Liturgy on a Monday.
Our Family Groups are named after Saints whose qualities and work we celebrate within School.

They are:
St Mother Teresa
St Francis
St Bernadette
