We are part of the Plymouth CAST family of schools. We are a Catholic school welcoming children of all faiths to learn and grow with us. The education and wellbeing of our children is at the heart of everything we do. Our Gospel Values of humility, compassion, kindness, justice, forgiveness, integrity, peace and courage are integral to our whole school community. We inspire all our children to do their best, be their best and have respect for themselves, others and the world we live in. Choosing a school for your child is really important for any parent or carer. If you would like to find out more about our school you are welcome to visit us to meet our wonderful staff and pupils. St Joseph

St Joseph

St Joseph is our patron saint. St Joseph was a very kind and compassionate man who loved Mary and Jesus very much. We talk about what we learn from our patron saint and how we can be more like him in our daily lives.

In the Bible, we do not hear of any spoken words by St Joseph but through his actions he shows his deep faith and love of God. We know how special he was to God because he was chosen to be Mary's husband and Jesus' foster Father. This was a big responsibility so we know that God trusted him. He teaches us a lot about family and how to look after one another.

St Joseph was a hard worker. He helps us to understand the importance of hard work and at St Joseph's we support the children to develop positive learning attitudes to themselves work hard to achieve their full potential.

We have a special St Joseph's prayer that we say together to remember the important qualities that St Joseph showed us and to ask him to support us in our daily lives.

Compassionate St Joseph,

Please help us and guide us as we follow in your footsteps,

As we try to model our Gospel Values to all,

Help us to love, forgive and show kindness,

In our learning and in our play,

As we live and grow together everyday,

Help us to care, welcome and show compassion,

Just like you have shown us.

Amen
